Job Description:

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals affected by drug and alcohol addiction, helping them build healthier, more stable futures. This role is based in a residential setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Completing comprehensive assessments for service users
  • Supporting individuals throughout the full recovery pathway
  • Undertaking screenings and developing tailored Recovery Plans
  • Delivering 1:1 interventions based on individual needs
  • Managing a caseload using effective key-working approaches
  • Developing and reviewing Care Plans alongside multi-disciplinary teams
  • Providing health and wellbeing support related to substance misuse
  • Group sessions
  • Meds distribution to residents
  • Promoting motivation, harm reduction, and long-term recovery strategies

Requirements:

  • Previous experience within the Substance Misuse or Recovery field
  • Strong understanding of drug and alcohol-related issues
  • Experience in key working, care planning, and caseload management
  • Ability to engage individuals with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and motivational skills
  • Enhanced DBS

  • Communicate regularly with the nursing staff on the ward to plan activities and share information
  • Provide assistance to the nursing staff with preparing residents/patients for outings i.e., putting on jackets, hats, sunscreen and insect repellent as needed
  • Responsible to book transportation as needed for planned activities
  • Utilize a team approach as Activation staff are to assist at meal times, answering call bells and assisting residents with minor daily tasks
