Job Description:

Randstad is now recruiting for Theatre Technicians within a North East based venue. You will provide technical and production services with a key focus on delivering high quality theatre shows, events and productions within the venues and adhoc external Council sites. Strong communication skills and ability to maintain solid relationships (with internal and external) stakeholders will be vital to this role.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide quality technical and production services to the centre, clients and internal customers including lighting, sound and audio-visual console operation
  • Ensuring that operation and maintenance of all technical and stage equipment is in accordance with the relevant industry standards and safe work practices
  • The application of high quality customer service with efficient and effective processes
  • Contributing to team planning in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Support team members with venue hire and ticket sales.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Live Production, Theatre and Events or demonstrated experience as a theatre technician (desirable) or equivalent industry experience
  • Willingness to obtain a Responding to Child Safe Environments Certificate, a police check and a Working with Children Check
  • Willingness and availability to work across a seven day roster including weekends and after hours
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative.
