Job Responsibility
Lesson Delivery: Plan and execute innovative, high-quality practical and theoretical lessons for students aged 11 to 18
Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous health and safety standards in the textiles room, ensuring safe handling of shears, irons, and electrical machinery
Portfolio Guidance: Mentor examination cohorts through the intensive process of producing comprehensive design portfolios and final major pieces
Progress Tracking: Regularly assess, record, and report on student progress, utilizing data to implement targeted intervention groups where necessary
Resource Management: Oversee the inventory of fabrics, threads, dyes, and tools, collaborating with the department technician to order materials efficiently
Exhibition Creation: Organise visual displays and end-of-year exhibitions to celebrate student achievements and promote the subject within the wider school
Pastoral Support: Fulfil the duties of a Form Tutor, supporting the pastoral care, well-being, and character development of a designated student group
Extracurricular Enrichment: Run after-school clubs, catch-up workshops, or fashion initiatives to broaden opportunities beyond the classroom

Requirements
