Job Description:

The Sr. Automation Tech Analyst is required to have in-depth knowledge of automation testing and will be responsible for leading a team, designing a scalable test framework using Selenium with Java, and ensuring quality within a CI/CD environment. Responsibilities include leading development projects, troubleshooting challenges, collaborating in Agile teams, and utilizing tools like Git and SQL to deliver robust results.

Job Responsibility:

Accountable for executing and driving mid-size feature application design and development efforts to completion, serving as a development lead on medium-scale projects and supporting the execution of larger efforts
Proficient at operating with considerable autonomy and discretion as you will significantly influence the way an application is designed and developed by providing subject specific expertise and an advanced level of understanding of application programming principles
Sought after due to ability to analyze and troubleshoot coding, application performance and design challenges
Create the Frameworks/ Test Scripts Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing technical guidance and support
Design, develop, and maintain a scalable and robust test automation framework using Selenium WebDriver with Java
Develop and execute automated test scripts for web applications, APIs, and backend systems
Integrate automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline ensuring that tests run continuously with each deployment
Work closely with development, manual QA, and product teams to understand requirements, features, and testing needs in Agile environments
Utilize tools like JIRA to identify, log and prioritize defects
collaborate with developers to resolve issues promptly
Create and manage test data and ensure proper configuration of test environments for effective test execution
Develop test scripts and/or test frameworks using Java and JavaScript to execute RESTful API calls and SQL queries for test data setup/teardown and results validation
Document automated tests, processes, and test results, while adhering to QA best practices and promoting quality across the development cycle
Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to define testing requirements and strategies
Analyze test results, identify defects, and report issues to the development team
Research and implement new testing technologies and tools
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
Provide technical leadership and guidance in resolving complex testing challenges
Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation
Work with SQL databases to manage test data and validate test results
Utilize Git and GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and pull request reviews

Requirements:

Development experience in a fast-paced, time-to-market driven environment
Experience with test automation, test scenario and test scripts creation and modification
Comfortable with writing complex queries
Experience with reporting tools
Hands on experience with testing automation tools
Financial – KYC knowledge is preferable
6-8 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on automation
3+ years of experience leading and mentoring automation teams
Extensive experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases
Experience with Git and GitHub for version control and collaboration
Experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Experience with API testing tools (e.g., RestAssured, Postman)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Agile methodologies
