Job Description

MaintainX is looking for a Testing Manager to lead our testing organization and build the systems that enable continuous delivery. In this role, you’ll oversee both Testing Developers and QA Analysts, aligning automation, infrastructure, and test strategy to deliver reliable, high-quality releases. You’ll shape the vision for how we test, manage team execution, and drive improvements in reliability, automation, and visibility. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone passionate about building scalable testing foundations and empowering teams to ship faster and with greater confidence.

Job Responsibility

  • Build a strategy on manual/automated testing for the future (multi-region, Fedramp, AI, Data)
  • Drive operational excellence by implementing and overseeing load testing and performance testing to ensure system scalability, reliability, and efficiency under varying conditions
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Testing Developers and QA Analysts, providing mentorship, feedback, and clear direction to foster collaboration, growth, and technical excellence
  • Define and maintain a unified testing strategy from unit to E2E tests, ensuring effective quality signals, to support continuous delivery in the future
  • Build and evolve testing infrastructure by developing scalable frameworks, automation systems, and performance testing capabilities that improve reliability, visibility, and release confidence
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and DevOps to align on quality goals, integrate testing into development workflows, and ensure efficient release readiness
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics that provide insight into test reliability, defect trends, and delivery health, ensuring issues are surfaced and resolved quickly
  • Continuously optimize testing tools, processes, and team operations, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement
  • Champion testing excellence across the organization, helping teams shift quality left and embed scalable, efficient testing practices into the development lifecycle

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role managing both QA and test automation teams
  • Strong understanding of testing strategy and architecture, including unit, integration, contract, load, and end-to-end testing
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and modern testing tools used to enable continuous delivery in high-growth environments
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor diverse testing teams, driving collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments, with a focus on embedding testing practices early in the development process
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of aligning cross-functional teams and translating technical details into actionable insights
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify root causes, manage risks, and deliver scalable testing solutions
