Job Description

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Test Technologist (f/m) to join our Airframe Test Centre based in Toulouse, France. You will be part of a team specialized in the testing of complex parts such as propulsion parts (i.e. pylon, engine mounts, nacelles...). In this job you will be in charge of the test preparation, the test performance and test monitoring until the delivery of test results. You will have the opportunity to work for all R&T and aircraft programs with a large panel of customers (Stress, Design, R&T, Systems, FALs, Flight Tests, Plants,…).

Job Responsibility

  • Specify, operate and monitor test means dedicated to structure tests, instrumentation (Hardware and software) and data acquisition systems
  • Set-up and operating: Data acquisition devices in the lab or outside (FAL, plants…)
  • Complex/innovating measurement systems (like DIC, other optical devices etc.)
  • Standard test machine for fatigue and static tests
  • Multi-axial test bench (daily works like stop / unplugging for periodic inspections)
  • Manage the risks and issues before test preparation and test performance
  • Contribute to Test Management Reviews (PDR, CDR, …) ensuring that test processes and internal standards are correctly followed
  • Perform calibrations (instrumented parts, servovalves, load cells)
  • Perform and support impact test campaigns
  • Ensure the maintenance of the test means
  • Share best practices, standardize and improve processes within divisional test centers
  • Bring support to answer to customer requirements (Stress, R&T, Programs, Plants, Flight Tests, FALs…)

Requirements

  • Educated to Master degree level (or equivalent) in mechanical, physical measure engineering a related discipline
  • +3 years of experience in: Aeronautical structures
  • Structures test experience would be a plus (Test Rigs and Test Machines)
  • Software skills MOOG FCS, MTS Flextest, ZWICK TestExpert, HBK Catman enterprise, GOM, PHOTRON, INTELLIFAST would be a plus
  • This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities

Nice to have
