You will be an integral part of the engineering and manufacturing process, delivering electrical inspection and testing activities that ensure full compliance with certification standards, internal quality requirements, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) procedures, while contributing to continuous improvement and best practice.
Job Responsibility:
Setting up, validating, and maintaining electrical test rigs, fixtures, and associated equipment
Conducting electrical inspection, verification, and functional testing on internally manufactured products
Performing calibration and testing activities on high‑voltage electrical systems and assemblies
Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings
Preparing, completing, and reviewing test documentation such as reports, certificates, and compliance records
Recording test data accurately, including any deviations, failures, or anomalies identified during testing
Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing, including preparation activities and customer‑witnessed tests
Liaising with Engineering and Production teams to investigate, resolve, and prevent test‑related issues
Identifying opportunities for improvement and raising non‑conformances, engineering change requests, and JIRA tickets where required
Troubleshooting test equipment, interfaces, and instrumentation prior to and during test execution
Ensuring all tools, test systems, and measurement equipment remain serviceable and within calibration
Assisting with manufacturing and build activities when business or project needs require additional support
Completing production job cards and quality documentation clearly, accurately, and on time
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment in line with PPE and health and safety requirements
Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (or higher) or time served in electrical engineering or similar
Good IT skills (Word, Excel)
Experience working in the electronics or electrical engineering industry
Experience of working with high voltage systems
Sound knowledge of Quality Management Systems
Good IT skills including MS Office
