The Test Technician is responsible for performing the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Shift: 1st shift: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Job Responsibility:
Performs tests related to products manufactured
Maintains an accurate inventory of materials used for test process including test specific materials related to tooling, as well as other necessary items required to operate test areas
Informs management of inventory levels, regularly
Ensures good housekeeping in all test areas
Reports errant test results to supervisor promptly when test results vary outside of nominal range
Records test results accurately and neatly, while carefully maintaining daily logs
Complies with all company policies to ensure quality and practices safe work habits and ethics
Conducts tests of new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies and procedures or written test plans
Conducts various performance tests of the company’s product in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures or written test plans and maintains accurate records of test results
Coordinates testing and QC qualification of new products and daily/weekly conformance testing of components and complete tools
Performs light maintenance on the machines and thoroughly measures parts to the standards of drawing
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
0 – 2 years of experience with quality control in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics
including electrical & mechanical
Possesses strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Basic computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Outlook)
