Job Description:

Join Trane Technologies as a 2nd Shift Test/Tech Support Engineer! In this role, you will operate innovative engineered systems and develop, coordinate, and implement sustainable manufacturing production processes. Your cross-functional team will be focused on delivering quality, safety, and operational efficiency improvements. Shift hours are Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am EST.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for any Test-related issues with the Production team
  • Resolve Universal Tester-related issues with current testers
  • Escalate issues to team leadership
  • Identify plant issues and drive/support resolution with UT Engineers
  • Recommend and implement improvements to tester-related processes
  • Support Test Engineers for product changes
  • Coordinate with Tester Engineering on schematics, system diagrams, and test sequence changes
  • Provide support beyond normal working hours as required

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in HVAC, Electrical or a 2-year equivalent degree program at an accredited school preferred
  • Will consider experience in lieu of a degree
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong interest in HVAC applications and operating conditions for refrigeration equipment
  • Strong interest in Manufacturing Plant Systems and Processes in support of Universal Testers
  • Competency in Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint
  • Competency in Test Systems and SCADA applications
  • Ability to work as a member of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
