Test Manager

• Define the scope, approach, resources, and schedule of testing activities to ensure business requirements are realised
• Develop and maintain a test strategy and test plan
• Establish and enforce testing standards, methodologies, and best practices
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Communicate test progress, results, and issues clearly and effectively
• Lead and manage a team of tester(s) (manual and/or automation). Both direct reports and Subject Matter Experts (SME) from other areas on the business
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance and support
• Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Make go/no-go decisions based on test results and risk assessments. (depending on results)
• Track and report on key quality metrics (e.g., defect density, test coverage, business acceptance, managing issue resolution)
• Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement

• Proven experience in test management
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and QA processes
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage risks and make critical decisions
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and project management principles (Agile, Prince2, Waterfall)
• Experience with test management tools (e.g. JIRA, TestRail, HP ALM)
