Job Description:

The Test Manager will lead the testing strategy for infrastructure and platform components within a significant European Commission initiative focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union.

Job Responsibility:

  • Defining and managing the overall test strategy for infrastructure and platform components within the ecosystem
  • Coordinating test planning, execution, and reporting across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Leading the development and implementation of automated testing frameworks for infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and security controls
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and security teams to ensure test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements
  • Managing performance, integration, and regression testing for infrastructure services and automation workflows
  • Ensuring testing activities are aligned with DevSecOps principles, including continuous testing and shift-left practices
  • Overseeing defect management, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking
  • Maintaining comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports
  • Driving continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and team capabilities
  • Supporting audits and compliance efforts by ensuring traceability and documentation of test results

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience as a Test Manager or Senior QA Lead in IT infrastructure or DevOps environments
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure components (e.g., servers, networks, virtualization, containers, cloud platforms)
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks relevant to infrastructure and CI/CD (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, Selenium, Robot Framework)
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including security testing and compliance validation
  • Excellent knowledge of test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams
  • Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken)

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, SAFe, ITIL, or cloud certifications) are an advantage
