As the Test Manager/Director, you will serve as the strategic lead for our quality assurance ecosystem. You will be responsible for architecting a comprehensive testing framework that ensures our client's banking platforms are resilient, secure, and fully compliant with industry regulations. This role demands a blend of high level strategic planning, technical innovation in automation, and empathetic leadership of cross functional teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Architect and implement an overarching test strategy that integrates seamlessly with banking regulatory standards and compliance mandates
  • Design end-to-end test plans covering functional, non-functional, security, and integrity testing
  • Establish and monitor sophisticated KPIs and metrics to quantify testing efficacy and system readiness
  • Direct and mentor diverse testing teams across multiple workstreams, optimising resource allocation and workload distribution
  • Act as the primary bridge between Development, Operations, and Business stakeholders to ensure unified quality goals
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and third-party solution providers to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Provide executive oversight for the full testing lifecycle: from Integration and Regression to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Performance benchmarking
  • Lead defect triage committees, driving root-cause analysis and coordinating rapid resolution with engineering teams
  • Oversee the management of complex test environments and data, ensuring sensitive customer information is anonymised and handled with the highest security standards
  • Champion the evolution of our automation frameworks to accelerate delivery cycles
  • Integrate testing protocols into CI/CD pipelines to support a modern DevOps culture
  • Evaluate and implement emerging AI/ML tools to improve predictive testing and diagnostic speed
  • Proactively identify and neutralise risks related to software vulnerabilities, performance bottlenecks, and regulatory gaps
  • Develop robust contingency and disaster recovery plans for critical banking infrastructure

Requirements:

  • Financial Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of data governance and the regulatory landscape within the banking sector
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong experience with Oracle General Ledger (GL) is highly advantageous and will be prioritised
  • Leadership Track Record: Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-project testing organisations
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to translate complex business requirements into rigorous technical validation processes
  • Communication: Exceptional ability to report progress, risks, and quality trends to senior executive leadership
  • 10 years experience
  • Bachelor Degree
