We are seeking a hands-on Test Engineering Technician to support the testing, debugging, and validation of electronic assemblies and subsystems in a laboratory environment. This role is ideal for someone with 1–3 years of experience who enjoys troubleshooting complex hardware issues, working with test equipment, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure products meet performance and reliability requirements. The successful candidate will execute test plans, document results, perform root cause analysis on failures, and support corrective actions alongside design and quality engineers.
Job Responsibility
Perform testing, validation, and debugging of electronic assemblies and subsystems
Execute established test plans and accurately document test procedures and results
Troubleshoot hardware failures down to the component level
Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Operate and maintain electronic test and measurement equipment
Analyze electrical signals and performance data to verify product functionality and reliability
Perform soldering, rework, and repair activities on PCB assemblies, including fine-pitch components
Build, modify, and repair cable harnesses as required
Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and engineering documentation
Maintain accurate records of test results, failures, and corrective actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the test and validation process
Requirements
Associate's Degree (AA) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
1–3 years of experience in electronics testing, engineering technician, manufacturing test, or a related role
Experience troubleshooting electronic assemblies and circuits
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB layouts
Strong documentation and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment
Hands-on experience using Oscilloscopes
Hands-on experience using Digital Multimeters (DMMs)
Hands-on experience using Spectrum Analyzers
Hands-on experience using Logic Analyzers
Hands-on experience using Power Supplies
Hands-on experience using Signal Generators
Nice to have
Strong soldering and rework experience, including fine-pitch components
Experience with cable harness assembly and repair
Component-level troubleshooting and failure analysis experience
Experience supporting new product validation, engineering builds, or manufacturing test activities
Strong attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented approach
