Coordinates testing/prototype activities. Key member of the Development Team (EAK / DTM), represents test/prototype group
Influences product design and development to ensure suitability of designs for their end usage, conforming to customer requirements/specifications
Releases product through Test Releases (TR0, 1 and 2)
Cooperation with Senior Test Release engineer to complete the following duties
Planning and execution of test/prototype activities at a project level in accordance with technical agreements with Development Team (DTM, EAK) and counterparts
Writing of test reports with clear assessments and recommendations, including follow-up (may delegate however responsible for checking and ensuring correctness). Approval of Test Reports created by Test Engineer or Test & Prototype Technician
Issues formal Test Releases according to project timing (Test Release 0, 1 and 2). Coordinates risk assessments as part of the Test Releases and Release meetings
Active in acquisition and development stage to ensure the compliance/deviation to specifications/customer expectations. Delivers specification review and identifies risks to team
Responsible for document control of test data, reports, releases, etc
Active participation in Development Team Meetings (EAK) represents test conformance according to Brose procedures / standards. Also participates in formal design/engineering reviews (Design Checklist, DFMEA, specification review, etc.), and informal reviews with development team
Active in customer and supplier visits, and in negotiations regarding specifications, test plans (DVP&R) and test results
Able to perform all necessary tests on products, in accordance with test plans, procedures, specifications (customer/Brose)
Ensure quality, effectiveness, cleanliness, and keep department area in order
Requirements
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university
or five years minimum related experience and/or training
or equivalent combination of education and experience
