An opportunity for Test Prep., Realizat. & Result Analysis has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe. The position will be enrolled within the Flight and Integration Test Center organization working in the Integration Test and Analysis domain for A/C General Systems, Power plant and Flight Control Systems group. This team is in charge of the integration tests in virtual environment, laboratory and aircraft level of the previous mentioned safety critical systems assuring the integration at sub-system and system levels from an end to end perspective and acting as first customer for independent design solution assessment. The scope of responsibility covers from the test requirements gathering and assessment in order to define the integrated tests procedures and test plan; the execution of the tests procedures and final results analysis and reporting. In addition to the virtual and laboratory tests activities, the team supports the Flight Test campaigns preparation when requested; performs systems monitoring through telemetry when available and performs the flight test results analysis with final reporting of the campaign. The tests support covers from development up to certification and qualification of the systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the department project coordinators and Test specialists to prepare, execute integration test on virtual environment, at lab/rig and ground test on the aircraft, support flight test execution and derive required reporting and data analysis
  • Support Test Specialist to prepare the contribution to the Integrated Test Team forum within the scope of the activities
  • Support for development, certification, qualification and production testing activities according to Test Program requirements
  • Ensure & support appropriate IV&V strategy for these activities
  • Follow-up of test progress
  • Participate in the review and optimization of Test Requests generating derived test procedures
  • Assure and review that the test means are in adequate configuration to perform the test
  • Control of configuration and limitations of the ATAs under his/her responsibility
  • Coordinate with ‘Test Framework and instrumentation’ and ‘A/C & Mission System Integration Rigs’ domains the definition of proper means for required data reduction, monitoring and analysis
  • Interface with DO, AW and certification authorities, supporting test activities on certification meetings when required, write Development/Certification/Qualification test plans and reports
  • Assistance to Flight Test Engineers, Test Pilots and Test Specialists in preparation of Flight Test or simulator sessions: Follow test in telemetry and provide safety monitoring when needed / Follow-up and provide expertise of test data reduction and detailed analysis
  • Interface with Test Integrators, project coordinators, design offices, chief engineering
  • Provide expertise to system architecture and design definition for Systems and Functions integration
  • Provide analysis and validation of test results
  • Identify, categorize, track and analyse system misbehaviours, providing the detailed information and associated impact to the designer
  • Optimize test data analysis and derived methodologies

Requirements:

  • Educated in an Aeronautical Engineering degree or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in testing
  • Proven experience in A/C Tests definition, preparation and execution for General Systems, FCS and Powerplant Systems
  • Proven experience in Configuration control and set up for tests
  • Proven experience in A/C tests and safety critical system tests for first flight
  • Proven experience in A/C prototypes testing
  • Proven experience in A/C or Systems configuration analysis and tests definition for the specific configuration
  • Proven experience in A/C Test means and Ground Support Equipment knowledge and operation
  • Proven experience in Test Support Systems, Flight Test Instrumentation definition and real time monitoring
  • Proven experience in Test results analysis and reporting
  • Proven experience in FTI monitoring displays V&V and real time systems monitoring and analysis
  • Proactive person
