Job Description

Responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining quality engineering protocols and methods for building, assembly and test transforming materials into partially finished or finished products. Ensures compliance of manufacturing and production processes with internal and external safety, quality and regulatory standards requirements for worldwide distribution. Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of production processes, production equipment and finished products. Performs analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to design, test, manufacturing, quality standards and procedures when necessary. Recommends performance objectives for engineering, test, manufacturing, product and design functions. May assure compliance to in-house and/or external specifications and standards (i.e. Six Sigma, Lean Sigma and others).

Job Responsibility

  • Doing manual testing and automation in python/pytest/robot in parallel
  • Debugging issues related to EVPN advertisement, BGP Flaps, MPLS label stack issues, ECMP and multi-homing failure, VXLAN packet drops etc
  • Raising high number of good quality defects during the testing
  • Working with SW team to get the defects fixed, providing the complete support
  • Review the customer POC/BMT test case, deciding which test cases/technology areas need to be run in the scripts
  • Work on customer found PRs. Provide RCA and add new automation if required to cover it
  • Packet level trouble shooting with traffic analysers

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics/Compute or higher degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • JNCIx or equivalent certification can be added advantage
  • Strong background in automation
  • Proficiency in Python for developing automation scripts and tools
  • Demonstrated expertise in Class of Service (COS), Firewall/ACL, Forwarding (understanding Broadcom PFE architecture preferred), Multicasting, Native L2 Features (MACSEC, VPLS services, Multicast-Snooping), EVPN Features (EVPN-MPLS and EVPN-VXLAN)
  • Adept at using automation frameworks
  • Proficiency in creating new automation libraries and implementing complex automation algorithms
  • Familiarity with ROBOT framework
  • Experience with networking test equipment (Spirent, Ixia)
  • Strong analytical skills for debugging and isolating problems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Adaptability and quick learning aptitude
  • Very strong team player

Nice to have

  • JNCIx or equivalent certification
  • Understanding Broadcom PFE architecture
  • Familiarity with ROBOT framework
  • Automation skills related to test equipment
