Job Description

We are looking for a dependable Test Center Administrator to support daily testing operations in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This is a Long-term Contract, part-time opportunity with variable hours, generally around 20 hours per week, and additional hours may be available based on site needs. The person in this role will help create a secure, organized, and welcoming environment for exam candidates while providing attentive customer service and maintaining testing standards. Flexibility is important, including availability for Saturday shifts and occasional evening or Sunday coverage.

Job Responsibility

  • Welcome test takers, confirm their identity, and guide them through the check-in process in a clear and attentive manner
  • Enforce testing protocols by conducting security screening procedures and maintaining strict control over exam materials and the testing space
  • Observe candidates throughout their exams and respond quickly to concerns, irregularities, or situations that require escalation
  • Support a fair and comfortable testing experience by giving clear instructions and escorting candidates to and from the exam room as needed
  • Document incidents accurately and prepare detailed reports when activity falls outside established guidelines
  • Protect the integrity of the site by monitoring for misconduct and following all procedures designed to preserve exam security
  • Use computers and office systems to manage scheduling, records, communications, and other administrative tasks tied to test center operations
  • Handle operational support tasks such as scanning documents, organizing materials, and packing or unpacking equipment when needed
  • If required at the site, capture and log digital fingerprint information in accordance with testing procedures
  • Adjust to a rotating schedule based on site hours, which may include weekdays, Saturdays, occasional evenings, and possible Sunday coverage

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • additional college coursework is helpful
  • At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience in environments such as retail, hospitality, food service, or similar settings is required
  • Must meet the minimum age requirement for employment in this role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates and team members
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Windows and common office applications, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and web-based tools
  • Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail
  • Must be able to stand or remain stationary for extended periods, move through the testing room regularly, and escort candidates throughout the site
  • Able to bend, stoop, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 40 pounds while safely handling equipment and office materials
