Job Description:

BAE Systems is seeking a skilled and detail-focused Test and Acceptance Engineer to join their engineering team at our Christchurch site, supporting critical Ministry of Defence programmes. Working within a well-established 45-strong team, you’ll play a key role in the delivery and support of a fully integrated Command & Control system used across multiple MoD locations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Developing and maintaining test sets to validate delivered system functionality
  • Performing testing activities throughout the product lifecycle
  • Supporting customer-witnessed acceptance test events at customer sites
  • Producing and maintaining test schedules and reports
  • Managing test rigs, deployments, patching, and test environments
  • Identifying, tracking, and supporting defect resolution activities
  • Supporting verification and validation activities
  • Collaborating closely with developers, test engineers, and stakeholders
  • Occasionally working away from home for short periods within MoD

Requirements:

  • Experience implementing and executing functional and non-functional test strategies
  • Previous experience in integration, regression, acceptance, and performance testing
  • Experience with defect tracking and fault management tools
  • Ability to create detailed test cases from requirements analysis
  • Strong fault analysis and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with development teams
  • Eligible for DV clearance
