Job Description

Performance Health is seeking to add a territory sales representative to join our Medco Sports Medicine team. Medco Sports Medicine is the most comprehensive supplier of supplies and equipment to the athletic training, rehabilitation, and sports performance industries. This territory sales representative will call on athletic trainers in professional sports, college/university, and high school/middle school settings. within a defined sales territory to drive sales growth and achieve budgeted sales volume and other established goals. In addition, this sales representative will be responsible for maintaining and further developing established customer accounts and developing new accounts to increase market penetration. The territory for this position is Northeast and includes the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia. The territory sales representative must live in one of these states; preferred locations are Boston, Providence, Hartford or Newark.

Job Responsibility

  • Calls on new and existing customers to educate them on Medco’s curated product portfolio to drive account and territory growth
  • Responsible for all sales related activities including pricing strategy, vertically integrated conversions, and focus product sales
  • Responsible for follow-up and general sales activities on leads provided by vendor partners
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other teams in the Performance Health organization as well as outside vendor partners
  • Provides product demonstrations to current and potential customers
  • Develops a territory call plan by gathering and evaluating all relevant territory and customer information and establishes a course of action based on territory priorities
  • Supplies necessary information to operate the overall business effectively by completing all required reports accurately, completely and in a timely fashion
  • Projects a professional, ethical image and character of the Company

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in business-to-business sales with a proven track record
  • Must be able to lift and carry product samples up to 50 pounds
  • Previous experience in the sports medicine industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Professional presentation and positive attitude
  • Ability to travel with the assigned territory, up to 75% of the time, including overnight travel
