Job Description:

This role is in support of Cencora's veterinary and livestock production solutions marketed through our MWI Animal Health business. MWI Animal Health is a leading brand of Cencora, offering animal health services globally. The Territory Manager is responsible for generating sales of products and equipment to both existing veterinarians and new customers within an assigned sales territory. The Territory Manager plans and makes sales calls, and selects products and programs that motivate customers to buy products.

Job Responsibility:

  • Generate sales of products and equipment to existing veterinarians and new customers within an assigned sales territory
  • Plan and make sales calls
  • Select products and programs that motivate customers to buy
  • Call on target, current and prospective customers to generate sales, improve market share, and increase income
  • Utilize computer as a sales aid
  • Seek to understand the needs of the veterinarian and clinic
  • Establish appropriate relationships with veterinarians and clinics
  • Review and utilize sales analysis and top supplier reports
  • Prepare and maintain a written call cycle
  • Stay current on the full line of products and services
  • Demonstrate competency in sales programs, promotions and products
  • Establish account profiles for customers
  • Be responsive to communication
  • Detail and/or demonstrate new products and promotions
  • Ensure reporting is submitted timely
  • Meet sales goals and budget numbers
  • Act as a resource to the customer in business matters
  • Act as point person for customers
  • Maintain vehicle in a professional manner
  • Work closely with key vendors and Product Specialists
  • Maintain adequate support material and detail aids
  • Comply with other requests from Regional Managers and leadership
  • Participate in conference calls and meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • One to three years of outside sales experience, preferably in animal health
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to sell
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
