As a member of Baxter’s sales team, you’ll be aligned to one of our global business units and be responsible for new business, developing existing accounts and ensuring patient-centric approach in all your dealings. You’ll work within an assigned geographic area or with specific accounts to achieve or exceed personal and business goals, all in pursuit of our mission to save and sustain lives. In the sales role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide input on new markets and products, manage customer concerns, and collaborate with other teams.
Job Responsibility
Responsible for achieving sales goals for Baxter’s product portfolio in the Territory
Implement sales strategies and execute business plan to achieve sales volume, product mix, and profit objectives
Calls on alternate site customers include (Home Infusion, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Consulting Pharmacy’s, Physician Offices, Oncology and Distributors), delivers effective sales presentations, provides technical and administrative product information, demonstrations, and education
Works in close harmony with Virtual Sales, Infusion Systems, Pharmacy and Nutrition Specialist to achieve assigned goals and objectives
Protect, service, and grow current base of business
Responsible for managing and maximizing Baxter GPO contracts
Serve as a resource for market information for management and marketing
Requirements

Product Expertise: Fully understands and demonstrates product features and benefits and can articulate and influence this information appropriately to customers
Clinical/ Therapy Knowledge: Ability to learn and then to apply role-specific level of understanding of relevant specialty areas, therapies/surgical procedures, disease states and clinical data with our customers
Business Acumen: Understands business, industry and marketplace, including competition
strategically applies this knowledge effectively to achieve business ownership and goal achievement
Balances Stakeholders: Maintains current business and drives sustainable long-term sales growth with existing and new customers through teamwork with internal sales and business partners. Problem solves and owns customer issues, while ensuring all parties and team members are kept informed of relevant information and resolution to enhance customer loyalty and revenue generation
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
HS Diploma or GED required
Three years minimum sales experience
Ideal candidates will have experience with medical sales working with distributors
Position requires ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies
Travel is required and may involve visits to remote or urban areas either individually or with other personnel
