The primary purpose of this role is for our technicians to use their expertise to play a role in protecting customers properties from wood destroying organisms. As a Termite technician you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention and treatment services that you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.
Job Responsibility:
Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
Applying anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
Verifying that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
Completing production forms documenting services provided
Interacting with customers and explaining services provided
Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
Prepare the job site for treatment
Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces
climb over and on top of structures
ascend and descend stairs and ladders
Work 20 feet up on a ladder along with working in small confined spaces
Work on roofs and high areas
Regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
Regularly work in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways
Requirements:
Clean shaven face (for safety reasons)
High school diploma or GED
Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence
At least 1 year of customer service experience
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations
Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Nice to have:
General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience
Experience in termite control
