This is an operational role reporting to the Assistant Terminal Manager. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day running of terminal services. From managing incoming vessels and outgoing fuel delivery, to maintenance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role which is process-driven, and safety-focused. And will see you operating within one of New Zealand’s most demanding logistics environments.
Job Responsibility:
Delivering terminal services to the required standards, including vessel arrivals and fuel dispatch
Carrying out maintenance and repairs in accordance with SOPs and critical safety procedures
Ensuring compliance with all health & safety requirements and all relevant legislation and regulations
Contributing to the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives
Training to become a shore officer for fuel imports
Requirements:
Ideally, you’ll have experience in an industrial/operational environment
A sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental requirements relevant to hazardous facility operations
The ability to follow and maintain SOPs and work safely in a high-stakes environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Any relevant qualifications or certificates you hold will be highly regarded
The role requires flexibility, including regular shift work and on call rotating roster
