Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H) has an opportunity for a motivated, forward-thinking, and dedicated individual as a Terminal Operator based in Picton, Ontario. As a Terminal Operator, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operations of the terminal.

Job Responsibility:

  • Contributing to the movement of grain by operating equipment to load/unload shipments
  • Collecting and testing commodity samples
  • Regular terminal maintenance and housekeeping
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment
  • Performing exceptional customer service duties

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule with rotating shifts that include days/afternoons and nights
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including winter environments, and in environments subject to dust and allergens
  • Experience with general labour, preferably in agriculture and/or terminal operations
  • Proficient in basic computer operations, with the ability to quickly adapt to new software
  • Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Valid G driver’s license

Experience with agricultural or heavy equipment is a plus
