Job Description

Our client is seeking a Terminal Operations Manager to oversee full-cycle terminal operations for a distribution facility in the Houston region. This exempt, full-time role is eligible for comprehensive benefits and reports directly to company leadership.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise daily terminal operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and product quality
  • Manage inventory, coordinate logistics, and train/supervise staff
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards (OSHA, state, federal)
  • Lead process improvement initiatives and support annual budgeting
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections, ensuring facility security and equipment maintenance
  • Deliver prompt, effective customer service

Requirements

  • 5+ years of terminal operations experience, preferably within manufacturing/distribution
  • Bachelor’s degree, Engineering preferred
  • Strong maintenance and electrical background
  • Proven leadership skills, including staff management and conflict resolution
  • Proficient in logistics, inventory control, and safety regulations
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and/or other software applications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in terminal operations, preferably in manufacturing, cement, building materials or distribution
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Engineering or related field preferred
  • Strong background in maintenance and electrical systems
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage staff, and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Proficiency in logistics management, inventory control, and safety compliance
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain, transportation logistics, and operational management
