Bemana is searching for a Terminal Manager in Conyers, GA to join the team a privately held freight and logistics company specializing in time-sensitive, just-in-time transportation across multiple regions in the U.S. The company operates a large fleet and focuses on reliable, on-time delivery and strong customer service in fast-paced supply chain environments. This position's primary responsibility is to positively impact bottom-line profit by managing revenue and costs for the terminal. The successful candidate will focus on analyzing routing decisions to provide the optimal balance and effective utilization of the fleet while providing exceptional service to the customer. The Terminal Manager is expected to set the tone of the operation by leading both office and driver personnel and managing the effective performance of all. In addition, the terminal manager will ensure the day-to-day management of safety and maintenance objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervise terminal operations to ensure proper routing decisions for company assets, with the goal of providing the required service to the customer
  • Analyze daily shipping patterns and communicate regularly with management
  • Monitor and manage supply and demand fluctuations (available loads / available capacity)
  • Communicate regularly with appropriate personnel about imbalances and support needs
  • Work with corporate Safety to support achieving goals & objectives related to regulatory compliance, safety awareness, and enforcement of company's fleet safety program
  • Make frequent and ongoing decisions regarding drivers, equipment, customer service, carrier selection, and rates

Requirements

Skills and knowledge normally gained in a program equivalent to a four-year degree and/or two to three (2-3) years of transportation experience
