Job Description:

Aurizon are currently seeking two additional Terminal Leaders to support the Carrapateena BHP mine site. As a Terminal Leader, you’ll work a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, leading terminal operations, ensuring seamless resource deployment, optimal asset utilisation, and top-tier customer service. You'll be at the forefront of driving safety and operational efficiency, while fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety standards and initiatives
  • Lead and support employees through coaching, performance management, and engagement
  • Oversee resource allocation and operational efficiency to meet business and customer needs
  • Monitor financial budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities to maximise revenue
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive business objectives and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a logistics or heavy industrial environment
  • Proven leadership experience in large-scale logistics operations
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence diverse work groups
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to optimise operational efficiency
  • Knowledge of logistics operations, preferably within the road and rail industry
