Job Description:

This is a great opportunity to work for a major name in the utilities industry within a company that offers fantastic progression opportunities. This client is an Independent Distribution Network Operator (IDNO) that has over 2 million connections across the UK. The business has also won awards for being one of the top 10 companies the UK to work for too. As the Tendering Administrator, you’ll help to assist the Tendering Engineers in providing multi-utility quotations for customers who are constructing new housing and commercial developments across the UK. You will also be responsible for on and off-site gas, electric, water and fibre quotations in accordance with the company’s standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Tendering Engineers to provide multi-utility quotations
  • Assist with the designs for the purpose of pricing gas, water, electric and fibre networks to provide budget and firm quotations for customers
  • Tender for solutions that satisfy both customer needs and the needs of internal stakeholders e.g. providing the lowest cost for the greatest benefit
  • Liaise closely with the customer to ensure quotations meet the client’s expectations
  • Raise new enquiries on the system and assist with information gathering to progress new quotations
  • Manage workload effectively and ensure trackers are kept up to date with relevant information
  • Provide support to internal/external customers as required
  • Maintain and improve consistent accuracy of data records
  • Any other duties as required by the manager

Requirements:

  • Current CSCS card or gas/electricity SHEA passport
  • Knowledge of current legislation, technical standards & specifications relating to utility design
  • Recent utility network design experience
  • Competent in use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and have knowledge on GIS systems
