Job Description:

The role contributes to the growth and long-term profitability of the Meeting Place, always keeping the needs of customers, tenants and partners in focus. Works in close partnership with the Leasing team to develop a strong offer and income strategy that brings value to the Meeting Place and the many people who use it. Ensures a clear and meaningful IKEA presence across the Meeting Place, including seasonal activities and everyday touchpoints that reflect our brand. Supports tenant success by securing solid commercial and operational guidance. In collaboration with the Leasing team, strengthens tenants’ performance to increase the overall share of income.

Job Responsibility:

  • Partners with the Leasing team to shape the right mix of offerings in the Meeting Place—including pop up stores, leisure concepts, F&B and other income generating opportunities—making the most of commercialization potential
  • Ensures the overall offer creates a diverse, emotionally engaging and experience rich journey for the many people. The offer is always developed in line with the defined customer journey
  • Co develops, implements and follows up on the long term leasing strategy, ensuring that the Offer & Income Strategy reflects business priorities, customer needs and the unique identity of the Meeting Place
  • Maintains close follow up on the commercial and operational performance of partners, understanding their business models and providing meaningful feedback to help strengthen their results
  • Promotes active partner involvement in Meeting Place initiatives throughout the year to create value, energy and community engagement
  • Secures strong IKEA commercial integration across the Meeting Place—covering seasonal activities, limited collections, IKEA Food and other key brand experiences
  • Manages day to day relationships with tenants. In collaboration with Leasing and Property functions, supports partners with relocation or re clustering within the Meeting Place as needed
  • Acts as a collaborative speaking partner to explore new business opportunities with lease partners and commercial brands for specialty leasing, media sales and promotional concepts—often together with major marketing agencies. Strengthens the uniqueness of the Meeting Place to attract more visitors
  • Works with Accelerator Hub, New Income Streams teams and other internal and external partners to identify and implement innovative projects that enhance the Meeting Place experience
  • Ensures commercialization activities evolve alongside new technologies, aiming to be a pioneer in the local market. Shares learnings and best practices with other Meeting Places and draws inspiration from them as well
  • Engages partners to help improve the sustainability performance of the Meeting Place—including fit out, operations and community activities. Communicates the vision and value of the sustainability agenda, encouraging partners to inspire visitors to live healthier and more sustainable everyday lives

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of marketing experience within shopping centres or retail environments, with a strong understanding of how people interact with commercial spaces
  • Solid knowledge of the Indian market, including local customer behaviours and expectations
  • Proven background in customer and market research, using insights to strengthen decisions and create better experiences
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies, including event partners, PR teams and advertising agencies, to deliver meaningful and effective communication

  • Acts as first contact support for the shopping Centre to achieve prompt response on tenants’ enquiries, feedback & complaints, and escalate it to other related departments for resolution
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive and updated Tenants’ database and filing system for all tenants (ie. Sales information, licences, insurances, agreement and other correspondences)
  • Responsible for the collection and system update of Tenant monthly sales report (average submission rate: 95%) and yearly audited sales report
