Job Description

We are now seeking a Tenancy Management Advisor to join our frontline Neighbourhoods & Tenancy Services team and play a key role in delivering a responsive, customer-focused housing service.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the first point of contact for ASB and tenancy management queries
  • Provide clear, accurate advice and guidance to customers
  • Support early intervention approaches including mediation and prevention
  • Manage and update case records accurately using CRM systems
  • Support tenancy changes including joint-to-sole applications, household updates and bereavement cases
  • Investigate issues such as abandonment, illegal subletting and tenancy breaches
  • Carry out risk assessments and support case planning
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies including police, local authorities and safeguarding partners
  • Ensure full compliance with housing legislation, safeguarding, GDPR and organisational policies

Requirements

  • Experience in ASB, tenancy management or housing-related casework
  • Some knowledge of housing law, tenancy processes and safeguarding principles
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive conversations

  • Direct Intervention: Work closely with practitioners and housing providers to proactively support young people facing tenancy challenges
  • Build Strong Community Partnerships: Develop and maintain crucial relationships with landlords, real estate agents, and other support services
  • Individualised Tenancy Support Plans: Collaborate with practitioners to create personalised tenancy support goals for each young person
  • Increase Housing Stability: Contribute significantly to the success of the Youth Housing First program by helping young people achieve and maintain long-term stable housing
