Job Description

As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of the team, helping to manage stock and maintain a well-organised, efficient warehouse. Your role will ensure that the right products are in the right place at the right time to provide an excellent shopping experience for our customers.

Job Responsibility

  • Receive, check, and process deliveries accurately and efficiently
  • Organise and maintain the warehouse, ensuring it is clean, safe, and well-ordered
  • Pick and prepare stock for the shop floor in line with replenishment requirements
  • Assist with stock counts and inventory management
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, including safe handling of stock and equipment
  • Support other departments when needed, ensuring teamwork across the store

Requirements

Hold a full driving licence

  • Provides administrative support to leadership and assists with hiring related activities
  • Cooperates and interacts effectively through ongoing communication and exchange of relevant information with leaders, co-workers, District Managers, store and warehouse employees
  • Works cooperatively with contract haulers, suppliers, and service companies to maintain a successful partnership
  • Creates reports as required to provide information for management decision making
  • Maintains accurate store truck schedules, tour plans, and order due times, as required, in applicable programs
  • Works proactively to identify, investigate, and report irregularities within designated area of responsibility
  • Conducts training and cross training of knowledge and expertise within area of responsibility
  • Assists team with additional responsibilities, as designated by the leader, to ensure proper coverage
  • Maintains an efficient and well-organized filing system for the department and ensures items are archived and disposed of per company guidelines
  • Communicates with internal and external auditors as necessary
