Job Description:

An experienced, responsible, and engaging Live-out Tutor is required to support two children (B7 and G5) in Barcelona on a temporary basis from Monday 18th May – Friday 5th June. The role is purely academic, focussing on English, Maths, and phonics for both children. The ideal candidate will have British Curriculum experience, preferably from a UK teaching or London prep school background, and experience supporting dyslexia. The successful applicant will be energetic, proactive, and able to lead by example whilst making learning fun.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan and deliver engaging daily lessons tailored to each child’s age, level, and learning needs across the three-week period
  • Provide homework help and subject reinforcement, identifying and addressing any gaps in understanding for both children
  • Monitor and track each child’s progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed to keep both engaged and on track
  • Communicate regularly with parents to share updates on progress, topics covered, and any concerns that arise
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging learning environment that motivates both children to participate and build confidence
  • Motivating, guiding, and setting a positive example for both children

Requirements:

  • Experience teaching British Curriculum
  • Phonics teaching expertise (essential)
  • Confident delivering early English and Maths
  • Already based in Barcelona with own accommodation
  • Responsible, active, fun, and able to set a good example
