We are seeking a thorough and well organised Administrator to join a friendly and welcoming team, who are very passionate about providing the best support to their students. As a SEN Administrator you will play a key role in ensuring an efficient, organised and welcoming environment that supports the learning, social and emotional development of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This is initially a temporary role with the view to become permanent for the right candidate.
Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the SENCO and SEND team
Prepare, produce and distribute SEN documentation (IEPs, Annual Reviews, PSPs, reports, letters, meeting minutes)
Arrange, organise and minute meetings with parents, students and external professionals
Oversee practical tasks such as ordering resources, maintaining supplies and ensuring department calendars, deadlines and events are accurately recorded
Manage communication tasks, including phone calls, correspondence and welcoming visitors
Support induction, deployment and administrative processes relating to Learning Support Assistants
Assist the SENCO, SEN Facilitator and Exams Officer with administration of exam and Access Arrangements
Collate and prepare information for Annual Reviews and statutory SEN processes
Carry out additional reasonable duties as required to support the effective running of the SEND department
Requirements:
Prior administration skills
Ideally within an educational setting
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding
Computer literate
Confident and polite telephone manner
High attention to detail
Strong communication skills
An enhanced DBS will be required prior to commencing employment
Nice to have:
