This position provides relationship service and strategic human resources support to Brandeis’ schools, centers, institutes and administrative departments. The HR Partner drives and coordinates the delivery of HR services and programs to improve the development of Brandeis’ workforce and meet the academic, programmatic and business goals of Brandeis leadership. The HR partner focuses on change management, management, recruitment coordination organizational design, employee engagement, workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and connectivity to specialist functions of HR to ensure a consistent employee experience throughout the University. managers/staff/faculty with comprehensive and proactive employee relations service in the form of counsel, intervention and resolution of issues. Collaborate and provide assistance to the Director of Employment and Employee Relations with general employment and employee relations issues.
Job Responsibility:
Supports respective areas of the University by providing human resources advice and counsel with regard to employee relations and retention, benefits, compensation, workforce planning and design, performance management and the interpretation of collective bargaining agreements
Meets regularly with leadership in assigned areas of the University to understand academic, programmatic and operational goals
Recommends improvement to HR policies and procedures where appropriate
Based on interactions with assigned University area, assess training needs and partner with Training Specialist to develop and deliver training content
Respond to and resolve non-bias related employee complaints and employee relations escalations
Conducts exit interviews and analyzes data gathered as a result of exit interviews for use in trending and metrics reporting
Participates in committee activities, special projects, or other duties as assigned
Requirements:
BS/BA/equivalent plus at least 8 years total work-related experience in one or more key areas of employee/labor relations, recruitment, HR analytics, ERP systems, HR generalist services
preferably two or more areas
Experience working with unionized employees is preferred
