Job Description:

Temporary SEN Teacher role in a specialist school supporting pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Opportunity to utilise expertise in managing complex needs and making an immediate positive impact on vulnerable young people in a highly supportive, structured environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the specific SEMH and learning needs of a small class group
  • Take full responsibility for a class, ensuring all pupils are engaged and making progress during your tenure
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
  • Work closely with a dedicated team of Teaching Assistants, directing their support effectively
  • Contribute to the school's positive culture, adhering to all policies and procedures
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of pupil progress and well-being

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Demonstrably experienced in teaching pupils with SEN, particularly SEMH needs
