Job Description

Are you an experienced Purchase Ledger professional available to start immediately? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for a temporary ongoing Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for a long-term temporary assignment with an immediate start. The Role: Working as part of the finance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of supplier invoices while supporting the wider purchase ledger function.

Job Responsibility

  • Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately
  • Matching, batching and coding invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Resolving invoice queries and liaising with suppliers
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Maintaining accurate financial records
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc administration

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • The ability to manage a high-volume workload and meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach
  • Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
