Job Description:

Are you a stickler for grammar and an expert at catching typos? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring written works are polished to perfection? We are currently working alongside an organisation that provides international scientific marketing solutions for scientists and digital marketing experts. They are seeking a Temporary Proofreader to join their team in Manchester City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a market leader and contribute to impactful written materials that resonate with scientists and professionals in the field.

Job Responsibility:

Carefully review and edit a variety of documents, including but not limited to scientific publications, marketing materials and website content
Correct grammar, spelling, punctuation
Ensure consistent language, style and formatting
Collaborate with the team to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines
Provide suggestions for improving overall written content

Requirements:

Proven experience in proofreading and editing, preferably within a scientific, marketing, or related field
Excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors
Proficient in using proofreading tools and software
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
