Job Description

Temporary Live-out Nanny for an 8-week placement beginning Friday 6th March, for a family visiting from Switzerland to their property on the Upper East Side, New York. The position centres on the care of their two-year old daughter.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing attentive, nurturing care for a 2-year-old girl in both sole and shared care settings
  • Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities to support development, learning, and play
  • Maintaining consistent routines around meals, naps, and bedtime
  • Accompanying the child on outings, appointments, and activities as required
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with household staff and family members
  • Keeping the child’s environment safe, clean, and organised
  • Being adaptable and responsive to the family’s evolving needs throughout the engagement

Requirements

  • Strong, hands-on experience working with toddlers and children of a similar age
  • Right to work in USA
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working within a fully staffed household environment
  • A genuine team player with excellent energy and a collaborative spirit
  • Flexible in their approach — able to transition smoothly between sole and shared care arrangements
  • Professional, discreet, and respectful of the family’s culture and household dynamics
  • Paediatric first aid certified (current)
  • Excellent references from previous nanny or childcare positions
