Our client, a global strategy consulting firm, is seeking a Marketing Events Assistant to provide contract support through December. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Boston, working Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, with an hourly pay range of $25-$32/hour. Job Responsibility

  • Support the planning and execution of external and internal events, including conferences, forums, roundtables, and webinars
  • Assist with event research, RFPs, sponsorship opportunities, and venue selection
  • Coordinate logistics for virtual and in-person events (room layouts, AV, catering, travel, signage, materials, and décor)
  • Manage sponsorship activities, vendor coordination, and hotel room blocks
  • Create and maintain event participant lists, website postings, and social media images
  • Oversee pre-, onsite, and post-event logistics and communications
  • Prepare invitations, marketing materials, nametags, gift bags, and registration materials
  • Track event feedback, attendance sources, budgets, and ROI
  • prepare reports for stakeholders
  • Propose new ideas to enhance event planning processes and execution

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 2-3+ years of corporate event planning experience, preferably customer-centric events
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional, multi-location teams
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
