Job Description:

The Temporary Laboratory Technician will be part of a collaborative AQE laboratory team dedicated to ensuring the safety, quality, and performance of medical devices. This role involves hands-on product testing, accurate data recording, and supporting continuous improvement of laboratory processes and equipment while contributing to life-enhancing medical technologies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform product testing as per established laboratory procedures, protocols, and timelines
  • Conduct structured and exploratory testing on medical device products
  • Record test results accurately in both physical and digital systems
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure timely calibration
  • Identify and report test irregularities or equipment performance issues
  • Support development and improvement of test methods and lab equipment
  • Assist in investigations, prototype evaluations, and exploratory testing
  • Support laboratory upkeep and administrative tasks
  • Contribute to lab projects as directed by the Lab Supervisor

Requirements:

  • Previous laboratory, testing, or technician experience preferred
  • Exposure to medical devices, quality, or regulated environments is an advantage
  • Entry-level candidates with relevant academic or lab experience are welcome
  • Hands-on laboratory testing skills
  • Attention to detail and accurate data documentation
  • Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and protocols
  • Equipment handling and calibration awareness
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively
  • Good organizational and time-management skills
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Relevant laboratory coursework or practical lab experience preferred
