Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented HR Administrator to join the central team of an Education Trust on a temporary basis. This role is perfect for someone with experience in the education sector who can confidently support a wide range of HR administrative and transactional processes. This is a fully on‑site role based at Ashbourne and requires an Enhanced DBS check due to the nature of the organisation.

Job Responsibility

  • Assisting with end-to-end recruitment administration
  • Preparing and issuing offer letters and employment contracts
  • Coordinating onboarding processes and ensuring all compliance documentation is completed
  • Supporting HR transactional activities across the Trust
  • Managing employee data and documentation accurately and confidentially
  • Handling payroll variations and maintaining associated records
  • Producing HR-related correspondence as required
  • Using Microsoft Word and Excel daily
  • Updating HR systems

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an HR or People support role
  • Experience working in the education sector - ideal but not essential
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Strong administrative and organisational abilities
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Nice to have

  • Experience working in the education sector
  • Experience with SAM People HR system
