The Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) Administrator is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of OP’s TFWP, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations, and supporting HR operational processes related to TFW employees. This role focuses on program administration, process management, and compliance, rather than general HR service delivery.
Job Responsibility:
Serve as primary external contact for agencies involved in TFWP administration
Prepare, submit, and track LMIAs, work permit, and visa applications/renewals, ensuring full program compliance
Coordinate and track TFW arrivals, departures, vacations, and travel arrangements for both new and returning employees
Set up TFW banking, SIN, insurance, and OHIP applications
Maintain accurate and up-to-date TFW records using manual and ADP Workforce Now
Serve as primary internal liaison for staff and management regarding TFW-related inquiries, including employment, housing, and cultural matters
Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation to provide support for urgent TFW-related matters
Manage TFW housing allocation and maintain accurate room lists
Conduct and oversee internal and external housing inspections
follow up on any required actions
Receive, verify, and maintain housing invoices for accurate and cost-effective management
Coordinate furnishing, movement, and maintenance of company housing units and property
Maintain accurate TFW employee records and files
Provide administrative support to the HR team, including documentation, filing, and event coordination
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, HR, or related field
Bilingual: fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)
1–3 years of HR or administrative experience requiring strong attention to detail and document tracking
Experience in agriculture and/or TFWP administration, including LMIA management, is an asset
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of HR principles, ethics, and best practices
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows environments
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
Resourceful, adaptable, and flexible in a dynamic environment
Nice to have:
Experience in agriculture and/or TFWP administration, including LMIA management, is an asset
