Job Description:

Temporary Farm Worker position in Wisbech, reporting to the Farm Manager, with the overall aim of assisting in the day-to-day running of the farm while maintaining high bird welfare and bio-security standards.

Job Responsibility:

To assist the farm manager in carrying out all tasks required in the day to day running of the farm, whilst maintaining the highest level of bird welfare standards and bio security

Requirements:

  • To maintain and improve the highest welfare standards
  • To assist with achieving target levels of egg production and fertility, as efficiently as possible
  • To work to a high health and safety standard
  • Produce all records required in order to provide accurate, up-to-date information
  • Monitor and report any required repairs to buildings and machinery to the Site Manager ensuring the site operates efficiently and safely
  • Liaise regularly with Site Manager, and communicate with site staff and colleagues as appropriate, regarding successes and problems to ensure the consistent flow of information
  • Carry out welfare checks of the site, when required (full time positions only)
  • Report any shortage of farm supplies to the Site Manager
  • Maintain all aspects of company policy on site (as per the Company Handbook)
  • Be Responsible for maintaining the health and welfare of the ducks on site
  • To carry out any other tasks relating to poultry farming as the company may reasonably require
