Job Description:

Temporary Cook role for 3 months (may be extended) at Pennine View Care Home, a residential care home catering for up to 50 residents specialising in dementia care. Role requires working 30 hours per week, 3 days a week (7am - 6pm) on a rota basis.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure nutritious and beautifully presented meals are provided for residents
  • Prepare meals for up to 50 residents
  • Work with Apetito meal system

Requirements:

  • Caring nature and positive attitude
  • Desire to deliver best possible standards for residents
  • Energetic, friendly team player
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure effectively
  • Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy
  • Previous Care home or hotel experience

  • Alternate weekend availability required

Nice to have:

  • Possess or willing to work towards achievement of at least Catering (C&G) or NVQ 3
  • Qualifications in Food Hygiene and First Aid
