Job Description:

We are recruiting for a methodical and thorough Bookkeeper to join a well-establised team based in Honiton, on a temporary basis, starting immediately for a minimum of 6 - 8 weeks. You will provide a variety of duties to ensure smooth running of the department throughout a busy period. Ideally you would have experience using Xero or similar accounting software experience to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and file self-assessment tax returns, particularly for clients with rental portfolios, sole trader businesses, and individuals earning over £100,000
Support the preparation and completion of limited company year-end accounts
Ensure accurate data entry and reconciliation using Xero accounting software
Liaise with team members as required while working with autonomy and efficiency

Requirements:

Proven experience in a bookkeeping role
Well-organised and process driven
Experience within practice would be highly desirable
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Nice to have:

Experience using Xero or similar accounting software
