Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team based at Saunderton Lodge, Buckinghamshire Councils purpose-built Temporary Accommodation setting. This role offers real fulfilment in a fast paced, front-line setting. The role involves some light manual handling to help prepare void units for new occupants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for all processes and matters associated with the Council’s Temporary Accommodation, with a primary focus on Bridge Court
  • managing void units
  • working closely with our facilities team to ensure timely turnaround
  • assisting the officer in charge with all aspects of health and safety compliance for the building
  • performing minor maintenance duties on site
  • housing teams ‘go to’ person in all matters relating to Temporary Accommodation placements for Saunderton Lodge
  • support to all placements to help ensure compliance with licence agreements and support plans
  • work closely with our benefits teams and providers to protect the council financially
  • work with the wider housing team to ensure that placements are appropriate
  • undertaking of affordability and suitability assessments
