Job Description

This is a full-time position, and requires a TS/SCI/Full Scope Polygraph Clearance. 2HB Incorporated is seeking a Tempest Engineer in order to support its government customer in Annapolis Junction, MD. Applicant will get to work on a team of TEMPEST engineers and SMEs performing TEMPEST testing and providing TEMPEST engineering recommendations to help ensure the security of our nation's systems . You'll get to work onsite with the customer, integrated into their team to ensure mission success.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure TEMPEST testing requirements are defined by the customer's Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA)
  • Evaluate engineering change proposal (ECP) packages to ensure the proposed changes do not impact the TEMPEST integrity of the device, or if necessary, additional TEMPEST testing is performed to recertify the device
  • Attend technical meetings with crypto device users/customers CSCM's and vendor partners
  • Provide TEMPEST lab testing of certified cryptographic devices to ensure it meets the current National TEMPEST standard
  • Perform TEMPEST Field testing of cryptographic equipment to discover vulnerabilities in secure systems
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support when a cryptographic device has a TEMPEST vulnerability

Requirements

  • Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II (CTP-II)
  • 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing, and/or TEMPEST manufacturing
  • TS/SCI - FSP w/ MPO required ( current CI poly, under 6 yrs)

Nice to have

Military or IC experience in a relevant technical or RF field is preferred
