Job Description

Full Time Telemedicine Coordinator position at La Verendrye General Hospital, part of Riverside Health Care. The role involves developing, delivering, and monitoring telemedicine initiatives, facilitating clinical videoconferencing, and promoting telemedicine services.

Job Responsibility

  • Champion the development, delivery and monitoring of high quality organizational telemedicine initiatives for the corporation.
  • Promote telemedicine to healthcare professionals, patients and the community on behalf of the corporation.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day function of patient appointments in the Telemedicine Units.
  • Facilitate clinical videoconferencing activities and associated administrative processes including scheduling and supervision of telemedicine service delivery for the corporation.
  • Maintain current knowledge base with respect to the field of telemedicine and telemedicine activities.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Registered Practical Nursing Program and current Certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) Clinical Telemedicine Certification
  • preferred
  • Current CPR
  • Minimum 3 years Registered Practical Nursing Experience, telemedicine experience considered an asset
  • Experience in education, training and supervision
  • Experience working with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Exhibits the ability and competence to work with all computer systems, applications and new technology

  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills including distinguished verbal communication abilities
