Job Description:

We are looking for a Telematics Engineer to provide continued support to our growing and established customer base within Poole and the surrounding areas.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure Microlise product portfolio is fully integrated into our customer's assets
  • Timely visits to customer sites to undertake installation, servicing and continued support of our product suite
  • Completing survey visits and identifying suitable solutions
  • Completing quality assurance visits on Microlise products and peripherals in customer assets
  • Inventory management
  • Responsible for the upkeep and safety of your vehicle and all provided tools/equipment
  • Liaise with customers at all levels
  • Provide support to your peers and contractor resource where required
  • Ensure administration is concise, accurate and professional
  • Adhere to all internal process and procedures
  • Report on statistical information when required

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role (auto electrics and/or telematics)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Experience of working to Service Level Agreements and Operational Schedules
  • Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams and ability to interpret these
  • Evidence of strong customer service skills with a professional approach
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adjust style to relevant audiences
  • Be able to work autonomously, solve problems independently and adhere to agreed processes
  • Take pride in what you do ensuring quality and accuracy

  • Analyze current technology utilized and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
  • Establish development environment and development guidelines (design & code review checklists, design principles etc.)
  • Develop service and client-side code and database scripts that can support high-volume transactions
  • Actively analyze and troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production and provide the fixes quickly at pre-production and post-production environments
  • Production issue triage and tracking, troubleshooting activities, ticket creation and maintenance, ticket assignments, as well as vendor follow-up
