Job Description

Are you an experienced telehandler operator available for an immediate start in Newcastle? We are currently recruiting for a reliable driver to provide short-term cover on a busy new build housing site. If you are free to start straight away and want to fill a gap in your schedule with a reputable housebuilder, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibility

  • Operating a telescopic handler safely across a busy residential development
  • Unloading incoming material deliveries and organizing storage areas efficiently
  • Supplying bricklayers, joiners, and roofers by loading materials onto loading bays and scaffolding
  • Conducting daily vehicle safety inspections and reporting any maintenance issues
  • Working closely with the Site Manager to ensure all lifting operations comply with site safety standards

Requirements

  • Valid CPCS or NPORS card (with the Telehandler category)
  • Proven experience operating plant on new build housing sites
  • Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis, steel toe boots)
  • A safety-first attitude and the ability to hit the ground running without supervision
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent reliability and punctuality
